Matthew Berger:

What city were you born and raised in? Centereach, NY

Where did you/do you go to college? SUNY Geneseo

What was your favorite childhood book? Why? My favorite book was “The Monster at the End of the Book”. It’s a fun book and it’s friendly to the reader. It warns you the entire book that there’s a monster at the end! I enjoy wit and I feel one of the best ways to teach is to make people laugh.

Nicolette Facey:

What city were you born and raised in? Bronx, NY

Where did you/do you go to college? Nyack College

What was your favorite childhood book? Why? “Jamaica Tag Along” was my favorite book because when I first read the book, I could relate to the character Jamaica. I grew up as an only child but I would spend time with my cousins often. Since most of my cousins where older than me, they would try to exclude me from lots of things!

Christopher Lind:

What city were you born and raised in? Bronx, NY

Where did you/do you go to college? Lehman College

What was your favorite childhood book? Why? My favorite childhood book was Dr. Seuss’s “ABC” because it was the first book I ever read. This book not only taught me how to read, it made me fall in love with reading and made my sense of imagination grow.

Noel Johnson:

What city were you born and raised in? I was born in Queens and raised in the Bronx.

Where did you/do you go to high school/college? I attended Bronx Lab High School.

What was your favorite childhood book? My favorite childhood book was Corduroy.

Jessica Rich:

What city were you born and raised in? Bristol, CT

Where did you/do you go to college? University of Connecticut (Undergraduate), Rutgers University (Graduate School)

What was your favorite childhood book? Why? “Little House on the Prairie” was my favorite series. My mother used to read to me every night and when I was old enough, we would read the books together. I remember reading the whole series with her as a child.

Asia Thomas:

What city were you born and raised in? The Bay Area region of California.

Where did you/do you go to college? I went to St. John’s University in Queens, NY.

What was your favorite childhood book? Why? My favorite book as a young child was “The Rainbow Fish” by Marcus Pfister. Now that I am older, my favorite book series is  J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter.”

Starr Trafton:

What city were you born and raised in? Bronx, NY

Where did you/do you go to college? Borough of Manhattan Community College

What was your favorite childhood book? Why? “Corduroy” was my favorite book. My grandmother use to read this book to me every day when I was a little girl. I was always interested in Corduroy’s persistency to find that button! It relates more to me now as I strive to make each day count. I still have that book today!

Paul White:

What city were you born and raised in? Brooklyn, NY

Where did you/do you go to college? Lincoln University

What was your favorite childhood book? Why? “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” because it taught me one of the most valuable lessons in life! You are your word, which to me means that people will treat you the way you present yourself. If you are an honest person, people will treat you with respect and be there to help you when needed.
